FAQ
Q: How do I schedule a Personal Cake Tasting?
A: Just give me a call at 541-791-2357 or send me a message from the "Contact Us" page. I generally schedule tastings in the evenings or on the weekends. From my list of flavors you can choose three cake flavors and four filling flavors that you'd like to taste. I also include both buttercream and fondant to choose from.
A: All of my wedding cakes are assembled at the reception site, therefore I deliver all of my wedding cakes. Delivery fee depends upon how far I have to travel to deliver and set up. I don't deliver sheet cakes or other smaller "party" cakes, unless it is a stacked cake or you're too lazy to come pick it up and don't mind paying a delivery fee. I charge a minimum of $25.00 delivery fee.
A: I start booking wedding cakes several months in advance. If you would like to secure your wedding date with me I would recommend contacting me, scheduling your personal cake tasting and ordering your cake at least 4-5 months in advance. I start booking summertime weddings as early as January. A non-refundable deposit and down payment will secure your date.
A: It's best if you come to your personal cake tasting with an idea about what you'd like your cake to look like. I appreciate it when clients bring pictures and ideas with them to brainstorm with. It's also good to bring color swatches and have an idea about what kind of cake stand you want to use. I have a few cake stands that are available to rent, or they can be rented from the local party store. You might want to think about whether you want to keep the top cake to freeze and eat on your first anniversary. This is a fun tradition that some Brides and Grooms like to do. And, by the way, my cakes freeze beautifully!
A: Why, yes I do!
A: Fresh flowers are a very popular choice that many Brides are choosing. Your wedding cake flowers will be provided by your florist, however, I am more than happy to place your flowers on your cake. If you have a specific layout I should be given a sketch or picture for exact placement.
A: You may choose as many flavors as there are layers to your wedding cake. Some Brides choose a different flavor and filling for each layer of cake, and other Brides choose their absolute favorite and stick with it for the entire cake. The choice is entirely yours!
A: You can make changes to your order up to 14 days prior to your event. Your final guest count and cake flavors are due at this time as well as your final payment. Any cake toppers, ribbons, cake plates or decorations should be left with me at least 14 days prior to the wedding.
